IGD and SABTT tackles global higher education setbacks

The Institute for Global Dialogue (IGD) and the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS), under the South African BRICS Think Tank (SABTT), will host a dialogue this coming Thursday, 24 November 2016. Themed “Re-Imagining South African Higher Education through the Lenses of the Global South and BRICS”, the discussion will be held at the NIHSS offices in Parktown. Amongst other, the dialogue will scrutinise the future of higher education in South Africa and globally, as well as the neglecting of indigenous knowledge systems (IKS).  The dialogue is set to start at 10 o’clock in the morning. It will be led by Prof. Siphamandla Zondi from the University of Pretoria’s Institute for Strategic and Political Affairs, who will also be the guest speaker.
