1. What does the celebration of Women’s Month mean to you?

The celebration of women’s month means celebrating those courageous women who came before us and who fought for our right to dignity and freedom during apartheid. It means celebrating the courageous women who are our mothers and grandmothers, the backbone of our South African society. It means celebrating the women who dared to dream bigger and make a success out of their lives. It means celebrating the essence of what it means to be a woman and celebrating our uniqueness. It means acknowledging the invisible work that women do every day to sustain their families and our society. It means celebrating the fearlessness of women and working towards diminishing the vulnerabilities and challenges women still face today.
