These dynamic young scholars are reshaping South Africa and the continent through transformative ideas and scholarship. - In 2025, what does Youth Month mean to you — personally, academically, or as a young South African?
This month reminds me of the power of critical consciousness and a call to continue challenging structural inequalities and to contribute meaningfully to reshaping our society through scholarship.
- What impact do you hope your NIHSS supported research will have on society or your field?
I want this work to influence policy discussions around social protection, informal economies, and gender equity, while also inspiring other scholars to centre marginalized voices in their research.
