Dr Khohliso

Dr Khohliso is an educator, academic leader, and researcher whose work advances curriculum transformation, multilingualism, and innovation in higher education. He serves as Director for Curriculum and Academic Staff Development and Head of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT), where currently acting as Senior Director: Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching.

Dr Khohliso holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Curriculum Studies) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Master of Education in Language and Media Studies, and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Management at the University of the Witwatersrand, School of Governance.

With over a decade of experience in academia and educational leadership, he has led institutional projects funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training’s University Capacity Development Programme (UCDP), focusing on curriculum renewal, language policy implementation, and academic staff development.

A published scholar, Dr Khohliso has authored and co-edited several works, including Perspectives on Curriculum as Praxis: Implications for Higher Education Pedagogy (Axiom Academic Publishers, 2024), and served as a guest editor for leading journals such as the Journal for Language Teaching, Journal of Inquiry-Based Activities,  Journal of Education and Learning Technology and the Journal of New Generation Sciences.

He currently serves on multiple national boards and councils, including the NIHSS Board, the Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB), University of South Africa, and the National Education and Training Council, contributing to national dialogues on governance, language and transformation in education.
